But they do provide you with all the tools you need to succeed with experienced instructors, opportunities to build projects to showcase your skills, and career workshops and partnership jobs after. The in-person curriculum may be lacking Python, but App Academy prepares you to learn and implement new languages and frameworks on your own.I was previously a marketing manager with little coding experience. The job market was slow at the time I graduated App Academy and it took me 6 months to receive 2 software engineering offers. Before starting the bootcamp I was super scared that I wasn't going to be able to follow the classes and understand the content but it turned out to be way better in so many aspects than I could've ever imagined. From my fellow coleagues, to the professors and to the whole staff of Ironhack everyone helped each other out so much that made the whole bootcamp and the whole proccess of learning new things so much easier.
I want to give a special appreciation to Diogo Capitão, the PM on the Lisbon campus for making sure everyone had everything they needed and to attend to everyone's necessities makinhg sure everything went as smoothly as possaible.
On a last note I just want to say it was one of the best decisions I made recently and I highly reccoment it to everyone wanting to shift carreers to any of the bootcamps available.

First of all, I have a great support system at home that allowed me to focus 100% on this course for 4 months. I was able to take a recourse to prepare me for the full-time program.
The first month was HARD. I thought I was going to give up. The assignments are fast, and I spent all of my free time studying. It was difficult not to compare where I stood to others in my class. At my toughest moment, I reached out to my Career Services Manager and my TA. They both helped encourage me and offer support when I needed them.
I would say the most important take-aways for those looking to join the bootcamp: Make sure you have a support system. Don't compare yourself to others in the class. Stay dedicated and find the motivation behind why you're doing this.
Coding Dojo has great resources throughout the course, that continue on for 6 months after you graduate. There is also an option to pay more for a yearly alumni pass.

In general, I am very pleased with the training organization; there are many really cool mentors. If you like to learn, have had highly qualified school teachers, and think of them fondly, you may feel the same way after GoIT. I had very qualified teachers; sometimes, it was not easy to pass assignments, and often the mentor would focus on those places where I felt that I had not fully understood something, even though everything seemed to be working properly. This approach encouraged me to go deeper into the material again. Access to learning materials was also well established. There were structured notes and videos that I can use even after the course is over. As a bonus, I also received a series of lessons that were not included in the course, such as TypeScript and React Native. In addition to the teachers, the group was assigned a manager who helped with organizational issues. My main critique would be that for the portion that was online and without a dedicated instructor, if the videos followed course material that they were made for it would have been much better. It was hard for me to know what things were going to be applicable to projects from videos a lot of the time and ended up focusing more of my time on the projects and just supplementing with the videos.... Read Morei just got graduated the overall experience is 10/10 very nice bootcamp the staff are great and they just willing to help instructors are very nice and informative specially my instructor Brandt, he is such a cool person as well as a teacher, the way he explains and delivers the ideas to you is great i learned a lot from/and because of him also Brendan was cool too although he was with us only the first 3-4 weeks but he gave us lots of resources where we can learn from, Brandt did great job handling the class on his own for 8-9 weeks. for me the Curriculum was decent starting with html/css going to python and then SQL as database following that learning flask a python framework finishing with JS/typeScript and react as frontend frame work I couldn't ask for more tbh. the course wasn't hard but i would say it was above average, if you are someone who loves learning new stuff or just love learning in general and your punctual enough you will be fine because you gotta keep on working/coding/reading though out the bootcamp, you will have free time some weeks but you gotta keep it ahead don't ever fall behind once you do, it's gonna be hard to catch up also you will learn seriously a lot once i joined i didn't know that much about tech but now i have a decent knowledge which is really cool learning all of this in this short time, one more thing i want to mention is week 5-6 which is gonna be kinda the hardest week because you will be building your first app but don't worry your instructor is there to help after week 6 thing will get better specially when you will learn react, REACT will make life much easier, lastly guys you gotta love what you do and love tech in general, if you don't i am not sure if you will make, thats overall my honest review to the bootcamp and the course in general i enjoyed it, it was really fun i get to know nice ppl, also don't listen or mind bad reviews YOU WILL GET WHAT YOU PUT no room for laziness guys :)...
